![]() ![]() By editing out drug references, not only does it remove one of the Grove Street Families' more noble traits in their opposition to hard drugs, but it changes a huge part of the story. Even smaller story segments, such as what happened to B Dup and Big Bear in San Andreas have to be edited around. As a result of these changes, Big Smoke betraying the gang and becoming a crack dealer, as well as his final hideout being called "Big Smoke's Crack Palace" had to be changed as well. CJ and the Grove Street Families are firmly against drugs, which is one of the main reasons for their vendetta against the crack-pushing Ballas. ![]() However, drugs play a significant role in San Andreas' story. Drugs are looked upon with extreme negativity in Japan, to the point where they are often a taboo topic even in media, which led to drug references being removed. ![]()
